 G Mat score is used by almost 1500 university in 80 countries

 GMAT is a test which need to be taken by students who wish to pursue MBA from universities abroad.
 In order to take this test you need to be graduate from a recognized university or institute in any discipline.The candidates should have attained a minimum age of 18 years to be eligible to take this test.
 GMAT test is held all-round-the-year. Unlike other exams, you can choose your own date and time for taking the GMAT.
 September to December is the high season for GMAT, so in case you intend to take the test during this period, you need to register very early, say 90 days in advance to get a date of your choice.

The main difference between CAT syllabus and GMAT syllabus is the section - Analytical Writing Assessment, which is a subjective section. One has to write a short essay on the give topic in AWA. CAT has no subjective question.
