What is the eligibility criterion for admission in Jadavpur University?

Jadavpur University, Kolkata, offers Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes in various streams including Science, Engineering, Architecture, Education and Humanities & Social Science. Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG and PG courses: Candidates applying tough coursesmust be Class XII pass with at least 50% marks or equivalent from a recognised university or board. Minimum eligibility to apply forPG coursesis Graduation with at least 50% marks or equivalent from a recognised university. There's a provision of relaxation of marks for Reserved Category students as per the rules of State Government. Admission Process Admission to all the PG courses at Jadavpur University is done throughentrance testconducted by individual departments. For PG courses offered by Faculty Council of Engineering and Technology, GATE score is mandatory. For those who have not taken GATE will have to appear in the entrance test conducted by the department.
