What is the eligibility for BCA?

Any science and commerce student can do BCA. You should have opted maths in high school because maths is a mandatory subject in BCA in many colleges. If you are good at mathematics then it's easy for you, otherwise, I would suggest you practice it regularly because programming requires maths skills.

The general eligibility criteria to be eligible for applying to BCA, you must have completed your HSC (+2) examination equivalent (Diploma degree), with a minimum 50% marks in total and also having mathematics as a subject in the qualifying examination.

The general eligibility criteria for most of the colleges of BCA is that a candidate must score at least 45% in their +2. But remember that the criteria is different for every university. The criteria for top colleges/universities is that a candidate must have studied mathematics in +2 and must score at least 60-70% in +2. Eligibility: The general eligibility criteria to be eligible for applying for BCA course you must have completed your Higher Secondary (+2) Examination or equivalent (Diploma degree), with minimum 50% marks in total and also having Mathematics as subject in the qualifying examination. Also, as I mentioned earlier the above criteria is generally observed in most institutions offering the BCA degree but some institutions might also drop the minimum % marks required to get admission in the BCA course. While good number of colleges admit on basis of class XIIth marks but some reputed institutions conduct entrance test for admission to BCA course.
