Following is the eligibility criteria for CDS (a) For Indian Military Academy/ Officers Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent. (b) For Indian Naval Academy: Bachelor of Engineering (c) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering. UPSC conducts CDS exam twice a year.

According to CDS eligibility criteria 2020, candidates applying for the exam must be 20 to 24 years. Candidates who have passed graduation or appearing for their final year are eligible to apply for CDS exam provided they submit a relevant certificate of passing the examination at the time of commencement of course.

Yes, the CDS 2 application last date to apply was extended to June 20 from June 17, 2025. A one-time extension was provided by the commission. The application correction window was opened from July 7 to July 9, 2025.
