Merit-based scholarships at Thapar University are given to students with strong academic performance. For first-year UG students, eligibility is based on Class 12 marks and JEE Main rank. From the second year onwards, students must maintain a high CGPA (usually 8.0+), with no backlogs, to continue the scholarship.

There is no income limit for merit-based scholarships.

At Thapar, merit scholarships mostly go to students with high JEE or 12th marks. The better your score, the more fee support you can get — some even cover tuition fully. Basically, do well in exams, and you can save a lot on fees.
