What is the eligibility for PhD at IIIT Pune?

Aspirants with GATE scores can get admission in M.Tech programme at IIIT Pune. The seats are allotted via CCMT Counselling. In 2025, the closing GATE cutoff was 354 for Electronics & Communication Engineering and 536 for CSE. The cutoffs are quite competitive considering the limited seats available

Aspirants without scores can get admission in M.Tech programme at IIIT Pune. Such candidates need to appear for written test conducted by the institute. Selected aspirants also need to pass the personal interview round for final selection.

IIIT Pune students can apply for government scholarship, fee reimbursement programs for SC, ST, OBC, EBC and economically weaker sections. Students can apply for scholarships via National Scholarship Portal of their particular states.

Aspirants must complete BTech/ B.E./ MSc/ MCA with a minimum of 6.0 CGPA on a scale of 10 or equivalent or 60% (5.5 CGPA or 55% aggregate or more for SC/ ST/ PwD) to apply for M.Tech courses at IIIT Pune.
