For joining IT sector in NIT, admission is through NIMCET and on the basis of counseling in NIMCET you will get the admission. All the best for your career. -

If you want to join IT sector, your score should be more than 200 numbers in JEE main. You should have knowledge of computer basics. -
I think you are referring to the B.Tech in Information Technology at NIT's. The cutoff is reduced for a resident of the respective state. Here are the cutoffs from the 2018 admission session:

NIT Allahabad: 3158 - 5504
NIT Surathkal: 1540 -3773
NIT Raipur: 9395 - 14108
NIT Kurukshetra: 5862 - 8754
