| BPT | Pre-university exam conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with at least 40% aggregate |
| MPT | BSc (PT) or BPT with the duration of study of 3.5 or 4 years from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences or from any other University with at least 50% aggregate |
| PhD | PG degree in Physiotherapy i.e. MPT degree by this university, or a master's degree considered as equivalent by RGUHS |
