Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidate who have passed minimum 3 years Diploma Examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. |
| MBA/PGDM | Candidates completed graduation and obtained at least 50% (47.5% for SC/ST) from any recognised university are eligible to apply. Candidates must have also qualified MAT/CMAT entrance test. |
