Asutosh College has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

UG DiplomaCandidates must have passed West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, 10+2 or Equivalent (General or Vocational Stream) with following criteria : Aggregate of Top Four Subjects: 40% Passed in English (Full Marks 100) Passed in Mathematics Passed in Physics/Computer Sc/ Computer Application/ Statistics
B.Sc.A candidate shall be allowed to take up Botany if he/she had passed Botany / Biology / Bio-Technology at the previous qualifying examination.
B.A.Candidates who has passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination is eligible to apply provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. Candidate must have aggregate 50% However, Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST or OBC Community must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate.
M.Sc.Candidates must have passed B.Sc.(H) in Comp. Sc. or B.C.A.(Hons) with 40% (in Hons) from a recognized university.
M.A.Candidates completed B.A. (Hons.) in Bengali from any recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.
