Durgapur Government College has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

Courses	Eligibility
B.Com	Candidate passed 12th/equivalent with qualifying marks from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply. or Candidate passed 12th/equivalent in Vocational examination with qualifying marks from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply.
B.Sc.	Candidate can take Honours in Chemistry if they have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the previous qualifying examination.
B.A.	Candidate passed 12th/equivalent with qualifying marks from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply. or Candidate passed 12th/equivalent in Vocational examination with qualifying marks from any recognised institute/board are eligible to apply.
