Jyoti Nivas College has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
| Courses | Eligibility |
|---|---|
| B.Sc. | Candidates from Karnataka must secure 50% marks in aggregate. |
| M.A. | Candidate must have passed with 40% marks in the aggregate of all subjects and mentioned marks in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./BBA/BCA. Graduates who have secured at least 55% marks in the Language concerned in the degree course are also eligible. |
| BBA | Candidates from Karnataka must secure 50% marks in aggregate. |
| B.Com | Candidates from Karnataka must secure 50% marks in aggregate. |
| B.A. | Candidates from Karnataka must secure 50% marks in aggregate. |
| B.Voc | Candidates from Karnataka must secure 50% marks in aggregate. |
| BCA | Candidates from Karnataka must secure 50% marks in aggregate. |
| MCA | Candidate should have studied Maths at 10+2 stage or at graduation level. |
