National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
Courses Eligibility DM Candidate must have completed MBBS from University recognized by the National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India as notified by Govt. of India with mentioned marks. Candidate must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training. M.Ch. Candidate must have completed MBBS from University recognized by the National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India as notified by Govt. of India with mentioned marks. Candidate must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training. M.Sc. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council. Candidate shall be medically fit. B.Sc. Any equivalent examination recognized by NIMHANS, Bengaluru for the above purpose with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as principal subjects of study with 45% aggregate. OR Job oriented Diploma course from a recognized board with Diagnostic Radiography as vocational subject or equivalent. MD Candidate must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training. Certificate B.Sc. with MLT OR B.Sc. with Life Sciences or DMLT (with one year experience). PG Diploma Candidates should be registered nurse (RN & RM) in the state nursing council with one year experience as staff nurse. There is no entrance test for this course. The course starts in July and ends in June. MPH MBBS OR Bachelor of Dental Sciences OR Postgraduate degree in Sociology/Statistics / Environmental Sciences /Physiotherapy /Occupational Therapy / Health Management / Social Work / Economics / Speech Pathology and Audiology / Speech Pathology / Audiology / Nursing. UG Diploma Candidate must have completed 10+2 from any recognised Board/Council.
