National Sugar Institute has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
Courses Eligibility PG Diploma Candidate must have passed bachelor's degree or A.M.I.E (from The Institution of Engineers, India) in Mechanical / Production / Electrical./ Electrical & Electronics from recognized university. Certificate Candidate must have passed matriculate/ high school with science/ agriculture.
Candidate must also have One season (of minimum 90 days) experience of pan-operation in a vacuum pan sugar factory along with nomination.UG Diploma Candidate must have completed 10+2 from any recognised Board/Council.
