Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

CoursesEligibility
M.Sc.Candidate passed with M.Sc. in Physical Anthropology, Zoology or Human Biology with 50% marks for General category and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC category candidates are also eligible to apply.
PG DiplomaCandidate should possess only MBBS degree with three year experience as General Duty Medical Officer (GDMOs) in the state government Health Services preferably in the delivery of Public Health Service are eligible to apply.
Ph.D.Candidate passed MD (Microbiology) or its equivalent from a University/ Institute 5 recognized by MCI and must have completed 02 years Senior Residency.
FNB (Fellow of National Board)Candidate passed in M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) or its equivalent from an University/ Institute recognized by MCI and Must have completed their degree.
B.Sc.Candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination of National Open School with a minimum of 5 subjects with any of the following group subjects:a.English, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology b.English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other language.
DMMust be within the prescribed age limit - For OBC candidates (please attach proof as per Annexure*): 40 years - For SC/ST candidates, Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officer including ECO, SSCO who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment (please attach proof): 42 years
M.Ch.Must be within the prescribed age limit - For OBC candidates (please attach proof as per Annexure*): 40 years - For SC/ST candidates, Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officer including ECO, SSCO who have rendered or released on satisfactory assignment (please attach proof): 42 years
MDCandidates who have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training are eligible to admission for PG courses at PGIMER Chandigarh.
MHACandidates completed graduation/bachelor's degree from any recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.
MPHThe candidate must possess MBBS/BDS/B.V. Sc/BE/MA/M. Sc with minimum marks in aggregate mentioned above from a University/ Institute recognized by the Medical /Dental/Veterinary council of India/ the Institution of Engineers (India) and UGC/AICTE and must have either completed, or due to complete, respective rotatory internship training on or before 30thJune (if applicable) and must be registered with Central /State Medical/Dental/Veterinary Registration Council. (if applicable) can apply.
MDSCandidates who have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training are eligible to admission for PG courses at PGIMER Chandigarh.
Master of SurgeryCandidates who have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training are eligible to admission for PG courses at PGIMER Chandigarh.
MSCandidates who have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training are eligible to admission for PG courses at PGIMER Chandigarh.
