The Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies - GEIMS has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:
Courses Eligibility UG Diploma Candidates passed B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Electronics with Physics as
individual subject in one of the year,with an average of not less than 60% of marks in the final year
OR
B.E./B. Tech. Degree from I.I.T. or from a college recognized by AICTE with an average of not less than 50% of marks in the final year
OR
Minimum 50% marks in English language at 10 or 12 Std or in the Degree course conducted by recognized Board or any University.
Note:
Candidates should be healthy and physically fit for sea service as per STCW 2010/MS Medical rules 2000 and all its amendment as applicable to seafarers.
Eyesight:
6/6 in each eye without visual aids.
Normal colour vision.Certificate Candidates should be healthy and physically fit for sea service as per STCW 2010/MS Medical rules 2000 and all its amendment as applicable to seafarers.
