to become an IPS Officer, you should have to crack civil services examination.
This Exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) once in a year.
The complete selection procedure for this is by
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview
