International students whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the English language. The English language requirements for Indian students are as follows:

Level of study	Eligibility
Undergraduate	70% in English subject in Class 12 for all Central and State Boards (except Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh or Himachal Pradesh) If less than this, IELTS is required For students from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh or Himachal Pradesh State Boards, IELTS or equivalent is mandatory
Postgraduate	70% in English (From all central and state boards except Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh or Himachal Pradesh A medium of instruction (MOI) letter, within 3 years of graduation If Class 12 English marks are below 70% or not provided, MOI will not be accepted. If MOI is older than 3 years, IELTS or equivalent is required
