The entrance in Delhi Maritime Academy is based on two routes:
> Merit Based - Candidates must appear in the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) held twice an year in June and December.
> Entrance Based - Candidates must appear in the University held entrance test and undergo the interview phase to get admission.

The Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET) is an annual exam conducted in December for February batch and in June for August batch .
The IMU CET exam covers 5 subject - maths, physics, chemistry, English and general knowledge.
