  • The entrance exam for the MIT Institute of Design (MITID) for the 2023 academic year is the Design Aptitude Test (DAT). The DAT is scheduled to be conducted on April 7, 2024 (tentative). The exam will include a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) and a Studio Test & Personal Interview. The result of the DAT will be declared on April 2023. The MITID DAT 2024 entrance exam will have two stages:

    1. Online Written Exam
    2. Studio Test & Personal Interview

The admission to design courses at MITID will be based on the final merit list, which will be prepared using the MITID DAT 2024 entrance exam, Studio Test, and Personal Interview.

It's MIT DAT or commonly known as Design Apptitude Test for the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate degree which is then followed by a interview. DAT includes questions which are objective, subjective and a drawing test. The objective and subjective selections will be conducted on computer for drawing the question will be on the screen but the canditate must draw on a  A4 sheet . In the second round a personal interview and portfolio review will be done and the results will be declared on the MITID websites.
