Candidates who want to appear for Paper 1 (primary level between classes I and V) should have: Passed XII with 50% or more in aggregate Graduated with a Bachelors degree in arts/commerce/Science subjects, having 50% or more in aggregate Candidates completing a Diploma in elementary education/special education are also eligible to apply Candidates with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education can also apply for the CG TET exam. Candidates who want to appear for Paper 2 (upper primary between VI and VIII) must qualify the criteria for Paper I and have additional criteria of: Completed B.Ed with an aggregate of 45% or more.
