  • AIIMS releases INI CET pattern along with the information brochure. The question paper pattern comprises details about the mode, medium of the exam, total number of questions asked, type of questions, allotted time, and marking scheme. INI CET exam is held in computer-based mode in English medium. According to INI CET 2025 paper pattern, a total of 200 multiple choice questions are asked and candidates get 3 hours to answer them. Candidates get 1 mark for every right answer while -1/3 for every wrong answer. It must be noted that the official question paper and answer key are not released for INI CET exam.

    As per the latest paper pattern, there are two types of questions asked in the INI CET exam I. e.
    1- Questions with a single correct answer.
    2- Questions with multiple correct answers. INI CET marking scheme:
    1- Single best answer type: one mark awarded for every correct answer, 1/3 mark deducted for every wrong answer.

No, the INI CET is compulsory for admission to the MD programme at AIIMS Hyderabad. Candidates must qualify in this exam and hold a valid scorecard to proceed to the counselling stage. Without clearing this exam, students will not be considered for seat allocation in the MD courses at the institute. Moreover, as one of the recognised AIIMS of India, the Hyderabad college is not allowed to take any sort of direct admission to the MD course.
