In XAT 5 papers are to be answered and the papers are divided into two parts. In part 1, one has to answer verbal and logical ability, decision making and quantitative ability and data interpretation and in Part 2, one will have to answer general knowledge and essay writing. And if it's help you like it.

The XAT entrance exam is conducted every year by the XLRI, Jamshedpur. The exam pattern for XAT is as follows:
    1. The XAT is conducted in English in the online mode.
    2. The question paper consists of a total of 100 objective questions and one essay question in XAT.
    3. The time limit to attempt these questions is 180 minutes, except for the essay question.
    4. The essay question is allotted 10 minutes and evaluated at a later stage.
    5. Each objective carries one mark and has five options.
    6. There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong response.
    7. Also, there is a negative marking of 0.10 marks for more than eight unattempted cons
