What is the eye sight criteria for aviation jobs?

Hi Mehak, .Aviation jobs are very much in demand in the current market scenario.Physical fitness though a per-requisite for any industry today, however in the aviation sector they are certain specifications depending on the department that you choose: -Cabin crew: Prefect Eye sight is generally preferred(In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight )however certain airlines do consider eye sight correctable to 6/6 with the use of lenses. -Ground Staff: No criteria stated related to your status of eye-sight. -Pilot: Vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.In case of contact lenses, you may wear them as a professional pilot (but not to correct near vision). If you do wear contact lenses, you should bring a report from an Optometrist examination, which includes the following : • Your contact lens specification and corrected visual acuity; • Confirmation that you have worn your contact lenses constantly and successfully for over eight hours a day over a period of at least one month.
