To be eligible for Federal Aid students must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year. Additionally, students must meet all of the basic eligibility requirements below to receive Federal Direct Loans:
- Be a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen
- Have a valid Social Security number
- Be registered with Selective Service
- Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student
- Be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for Direct Loan Program funds
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress
