Let me share few points about Hotel Management programme at LPU : Curriculum: High academic standards maintained by offering the curriculum framed in consultation with industry experts. Student exposure: Being a part of a resource-rich University, the students have an advantage of interdisciplinary exposure which is not possible in standalone colleges. Uni-Hotel: The School also trains its students in the campus hotel named UniHotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. Infrastructure: The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchen and bakery are equipped to enable a student to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through most modern gazettes. We have few training restaurants to teach a student about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. We are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation. Placement: 100% placements record with minimum 10% students selected as Management Trainee (Junior Executive level) till date and the placement is with brands like Cox & Kings, Carnival Cruise, Jet Airways, Oberoi, Taj, Leela, etc. Package: Six students offered the package of Rs 8 Lakhs by Carnival Cruise. Internship: Industry internships in top national and international five-star hotel brands like The Leela Palace, ITC, Taj, Oberoi, The Grand, Marriott, etc. Intellectual Strength: Faculty members with a holistic blend of academic & industrial exposure. I don't know the fee of IIHM but being alumni of LPU, I can share the details of the BHM programme at LPU and its fee depends on the maximum scholarship you get at LPU.

University has university HOTEL managed by students. All guest of LPU stays in our hotel and its an opportunity provided to students to have hands-on experience and learn simultaneously. They are ready for the industry now. They allow students to do an Internship in Five Star Hotels and IATA-approved organizations only. Also, we create an opportunity for our students to become Management trainees of corporate brands. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills, and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in.
LPU provides different classes for placements which helps in grooming. Students are trained in Aptitude, Reasoning, free preparation for government Exams, Soft Skills, and language training, Interview skills right from the 1st year, continuously for 2/3/4 ( duration of course) years till they get the job.
LPU students of the School of Hotel Management and Tourism have got 100% placement with prestigious global establishments this year. LPU previous year students of passing out batch have been placed at allowances/salary up to Rs 22.5 Lacs per annum.
