The fees of IISc, which is a government institute, are rather low. UG (BS Research)* : Annual Fees (General): - Approx. 30,200 and (SC/ST, tuition waived):- Approx. 20,200. The M.Tech fee is approximately 29,200 per annum (General) and 20,200 (SC/ST) in 1 st year. The fees charged on the 1 st year (General) and 20,200/- (SC/ST) under Ph.D. Fees of the external programs are higher. These are exclusive of separate hostel and mess charges and are also liable to change.

At IISc, education is made accessible through government support. For M.E./M.Tech programmes under the Division of Mechanical Sciences, the fee typically ranges between forty thousand to sixty thousand rupees per year. Additional hostel and mess charges may be around twenty-five thousand to thirty-five thousand rupees per semester. Considering the world-class infrastructure, cutting-edge labs, and academic mentorship, it's a truly affordable investment in your future. Scholarships and stipends are available for deserving students to ease financial pressure further.
