    In this option, the seat you got in the counselling gets registered for you if in the next round of the counselling you can't be able to get the seat. In case you get the seat in the next round, then you get that seat leaving the previous seat.

    Float means upgrade your choice which college you allowed in the previous round. After float, it is possible to upgrade to another existing college.

    See, the float option is an upgrade option and in this, the seat which you have got in the previous round of counselling will be upgraded to the upper option if possible.
