REET stands for Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers in its entirety. For the purpose of hiring teachers for Rajasthan's primary and upper primary schools, the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) administers an eligibility exam at the state level. Classes 1 through 5 take the REET test at Level 1, and classes 6 through 8 take it at Level 2. The REET Certificate, which is awarded to candidates who pass the exam, is valid for three years after it is issued.
