What is the future of electronics and instrumentation engineering?

I am not having any idea about the jobs and especially campus placements in electronics and instrumentation engineering. Can it be opted without any doubt? By the way, I am interested in electronics.

    Instrumentation engineering is a specialised branch of electrical and electronic engineering and it deals with measurement, control and automation of processes. Apart from covering core subjects such as industrial, instrumentation and process control, bio-medical, instrumentation and robotics, the students deal
    Many students from this stream go to good universities abroad to pursue MS/PhD in their desired fields of interest, every year. There are seats in the IITs and IISC too, where it is relatively more difficult to get in, because of the fierce competition.
