I think it is a great field but for that, you have to be creative and patient. It is a very small industry so the approach is very important to try to reach out to people who are already well settled in this field.

The Indian Jewellery Industry has space for many career opportunities not just for a designer but a diamond grader, gemologist, manufacturer, blogger, brand marketer, visual merchandiser, apprenticeship, professor and so on. Every job opportunity is a challenge in itself and takes a creative mind to work behind a plain sheet of paper.

A Textile Designer works to create new and fresh ideas that can later become fashion clothing. Not only the fashion industry, but a textile designer can also work in the furniture industry to design different kinds of fabrics or in the paper industry to design different printed paper. Jewlery designers work as specialists, their everyday tasks may involve setting stones (precious and semi-precious), electroplating, enamelling, and engraving. Jewellery design jobs requirements include casting metal, mounting, stamping, soldering, and polishing.

Once you complete your course, you are a qualified designer who can make custom-made and designer jewellery. The successful completion of the course will open door for consultancy and self employment opportunities for aspiring jewellery designers due to the recent boom in the gem and jewellery industry. Talented designers can even design and launch their own range of exclusive jewellery. Thank You!
