    You have two options after completing a B.Sc. In agriculture: either apply for a job or go for higher studies. Most of the students prefer to go for higher studies in a specialised field. This is because the research field has more opportunities in agriculture as per market trends. The career scope after a four-year degree programme in B.Sc. Agriculture is as follows:
    1. You can apply for the IBPS Agriculture Fields Officer post.
    2. You can apply for specialist jobs at NABARD IFFCO, and FCI. You will have to pass an entrance exam to get a job at these companies.

    If you do your graduation at university or a government college, you get more exposure. Private agricultural colleges lack in infrastructure. Regarding job prospects, they are not enough good. There is saturation now due to plenty of private colleges. There is no glorious future for plain graduates. You need specialisation with actual knowledge of your subject. Also what is taught and what is required in the field differs. Most of the agricultural graduates work for SEED companies, fertilizers companies, KVKs (Krishi vigyan kendras), etc. Since Biotechnology has come up, research in Agriculture has gone up very high.
