    Normalization is basically done for the exams, that are conducted in multiple sessions. It depends on various factors, such as the difficulty levels of the question papers across the multiple sessions into account. Or we can say that the scores obtained by the students are then normalized based on the mean and standard deviation of the raw scores in their respective sessions. This will help to account for any variations in the difficulty level of the different Sets of question papers. It also ensures a fair evaluation of the candidate's performance.
