The SGPA and CGPA (cumulative grade point average) evaluation is done on the basis of grades obtained in each subject and the number of credits the subject is worth. The grades are assigned as O, A+, A, B+, B, C, P, F with O being the highest with 10 grade points. So, obtaining O grade in all subjects will give you the perfect SGPA I. e. 10. The number of credits that a subject has impacts the SGPA by a great deal, such as a 4 credit subject will have more impact on SGPA than a 1 credit course. At last, CGPA is the cumulative average of all the SGPA's by that time.
