What is the history of my arrears, 5 or 13?

In UG, I was absent in 8 subjects and got failed in 5 subjects in 1st attempt but, cleared in 2nd attempt.

    Your arrears will be 8 as you have cleared 5 out of 13, and if you clear all the backlogs within the degree duration, it is perfectly fine but if your degree duration is extended due to arrears then it might cause some problem.
