The ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India), constituted under the Company Secretaries ACT of 1980, is a government-recognised body that produces Company Secretaries in India. The course of Company Secretaryship was introduced in 1960 by the CLB (Company Law Board). The Institute of Company Secretaries of India was created in 1968 and took over from the Company Law Board to conduct the exam. The Company Secretary certification includes three levels of which one has to appear for three exams:
    1- CSEET
    2- Executive Programme
    3- Professional Programme
