what is the ielts requirment for study in uk

IELTS requirement : AS per the UK Visa rules for under graduation study you need 5.5 over all band score and not less than 5 in each component. for pot graduation studies 6.5 band and not less than 6 in each component. Only for medical related courses the requirement will be little hogher upto 7 Band. Even in medical courses university will accept 6.5 band, but when you want to register in the respective medical council then the requirement will be band 7.

Hi Jaspreet, Every university in UK, has its own course specific IELTS requirement. For some courses, in some universities the IELTS requirement is even 7-7.5 plus, and in some universities the requirement is 6-6.5. But its always advisable for all the students aspiring to study in UK, to get IELTS score in the range of 6.5 to 7, as most of the good universities requires the IELTS score in this range.
