Obstetrics and Gynaecology or OB/GYN Nursing are two closely related specializations dedicated to women's reproductive health. While Obstetrics deals with pre to post-pregnancy, Gynaecology is dedicated to women's reproductive health and well-being beyond pregnancy.
OB/GYN Nursing is important for countless reasons, especially nowadays when medical conditions like PCOD, PCOS, cervical cancer, breast cancer, STDs, etc., are widely increasing. OB/GYN not only diagnoses or treats these conditions but also helps in taking preventive care to avoid such conditions.
