What is the job profile of a Software Engineer

hey can you tell me what software engineer does. i hav just joined an it company and my designation is software engineer... but i do not develop anythin i only fix bugs pleasse help me

Dear Aashish, As a fresher, the organization will not allow to directly get into coding. You will start your work like observations and as you go ahead you will be provided with more functionalities like Testing, Bug Fixing, Designing, and Finally into Coding. All the best.
