    Hello,Director General of Civil Aviation or DGCA is the government of India agency that controls all aspects of civilian flying in India. It issues liscence to aspiring maintenance personnel to work on maintainance of aircraft operated for any civilian flight. It could be commercial like operated by domestic or international Indian carriers or private aeroplanes used for personal or charter purposes. There are more than 50 such schools or institutions in India that have been awarded recognition by DGCA to carry out training of prospective maintainance personnel.     Being a commercial pilot is the most glamorous and exciting job in aviation. It is no doubt one of the most adventurous career which requires intensive training but this profession also demands a lot of time, dedication, patience and sacrifice. This is a lucrative field. If you are going to take your flying classes from government flying schools there will be an entrance test conducted by the Director General Civil Aviation or the DGCA.

    There are about 50 institutes recognized by DGCA approved to undertake aviation courses in India.
