The difference between LLD and PhD are given in the table below:
| Criteria | LLD | PhD |
|---|---|---|
| Eligibility | Mjust have completed PhD in Law | Must have completed LLM from recognised university. |
| Duration | 3 years | 3 years- Full-time 6 years- Part-time |
| Experience | Minimum 5- 10 years of pst-PhD experience to pursue LLD. | No such requirement to pursue PhD. |
