you see IT is very vast topic and jobs offered to a IT student depends upon which specialization have you done in this branch.
also packages rely on the fact that from which particular institution you got your degree.
for top and reputed colleges minimum package -- 4.0 to 5.5 lakhs
maximum package -- 8.0 to 9.5 lakhs -

The minimum package is Rs 3.5 lpa.The highest for IT is Rs 5.5 lpa.
