    As per last year's trend it can be said that the rank should be 5000-10000 to secure a good place in IITs for the General category. And again for OBCs, and ST/SC there will be lower ranks criteria to be in IITs.

    The lowest Joint Entrance Examination Advanced rank which gets an Indian Institutes of Technology seat varies every year depending on the number of seats available and the number of candidates who have applied. It also depends on the category of the students like General, Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer, Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, EWS, and PwD.     If you belong to general category you need a 5000 rank to get into a decent IIT which gives you with a marks of 200.
