If you are doing a Master of technology with a good specialisation and your academics are good, then you can get a package in the range of INR 8 LPA to INR 15 LPA in mechanical. Few might get fewer packages around INR 5 LPA or INR 6 LPA. Even the universities which come to hire, pay more than INR 6

Average annual salary of a M.Tech degree holder is INR 4.6 Lacs annually, but the salary depends in which post you are working on. If you are a Design Engineer then your salary could be as high as 1.5 Lacs per month.
