Dear, Aerospace engineers and mechanical engineers both work on the development and construction of equipment and devices. However, the field of aerospace engineering is more narrow than mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering is a particularly broad field, encompassing work done in a wide variety of industries and serving a multitude of purposes. Many of the same engineering principles apply to both fields, but aerospace engineers tackle aerodynamics and flight mechanics in a way that mechanical engineers typically do not. While aerospace engineers keep their focus on devices related to the aerospace field, mechanical engineers

    Hello!
Aerospace engineering is concerned with designing and building aircraft and spacecraft. Aerospace engineering can be divided into two specializations: aeronautical engineers, who handle aircraft, and astronautical engineers, who design spacecraft. In simple terms it as below:
Aeronautical = helicopters, airplanes, uav, aircrafts, flying quads, etc. Aerospace = aeronautical + space Science (missiles, rockets, satellites, etc. )
My brother has done Aerospace engineering from LPU. Fee per semester is 98,000 INR without scholarship. Aerospace is a specialised branch of engineering which deals with the design and development of aircra

  • Hi,
Aerospace engineering deals with everything both within and out of the earth's atmosphere. Aeronautical engineering is basically a branch of aerospace engineering.

The key difference between aeronautical and aerospace engineering is Aeronautical Engineering is the study of aircraft operate within the earth's atmosphere while Aerospace Engineering is the study of aircraft operate within & out of the earth's atmosphere
LPU is a right place for Aerospace Engineering. The programme comes with engineering minors:
    1. AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE
    2. SPACE ENGINEERING and pathway electives:
    3. ADVANCED AEROSPACE TESTING AND DOCUMENTATION for industry immersion. LPU is renowned private university with more than 30,000 students and experienced faculty from various institutes. There are more than 250 courses which are

There are some basic differences between Aeronautical Engineering & Aerospace Engineering related to course structure, prospect etc. I have listed down some of the difference as per my understanding. For Aeronautical Engineering :
    Programme Structure: - Fixed Scheme
Primary Focus: - They work with aircraft that stay within the earth's atmosphere such as airplanes and helicopters. Covers Navigation, Metrology, Design of Airdromes, and public policy also for airports etc. Facts:- None of the IITs offer aeronautical engineering degree. For Aerospace Engineering:
    Programme Structure:-
    Fixed Scheme
specialisation can be offered in (I) Thermal

Aeronautical engineering is the practice of designing and building aircraft, like airplanes and helicopters. Students earning a degree in aeronautical engineering take classes such as:
    Thermodynamics
    Heat Transfer
    Aircraft Structures
    Flight Mechanics
    Aircraft Stability and Control
On the astronautical side of aerospace engineering, professionals design and build units like space shuttles and space stations. In addition to the aeronautical engineering courses listed above, students earning a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering will take astronautical courses like:
    Spacecraft Design
    Introduction to Astronautics
    Fundamentals of JET Propul
