What is the major difference between CSE and IT branch in B.Tech? Is there any difference in their placements?

    In CS we learn about software and in IT we learn about software and hardware

    There is no much difference between CSE and ISE. There are only two differences
    1. Name of both courses are different,
    2. Few subjects in later semesters are different. The placements are also same.

    Dear Sourav, Both are very good branches of engineering and having high placements and good scope. The major difference between both these fields is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real-life processes, while, Computer Science deals with the Science that facilitates these applications. I have many friends who have done B.Tech in CSE & IT at LPU. I highly recommend LPU for these branches. There are some points I would like to share about why CSE/IT is good for LPU.     Being an alumni I had couple of friends in CSE stream. So for the same I would be giving you some knowledge on that. B.Tech CSE and IT has a very good scope both in Government and Private sector.
