    The difference varies from institute to institute. Most subjects are same upto 2nd year. Things start to change in third year. CS guys study more towards the hardware side of the field: Microprocessor, Embedded Systems, Computer Architecture
    while IT guys study towards the multimedia side like: Computer graphics, Image processing, Multimedia Systems.
    That being said, most students get their jobs on the basis of common subjects only viz-a-viz Programming, Networks, DBMS, Operating Systems, OOPs etc.
    Just choose a good institute and you are set :)
