The upper age limit which was 22 years was lifted. So, now a person may pursue 5-year course even at age of 45 years as well. However, it has been earlier the situation that at such an age, only 3-year course was available, but owing to the latest orders no such bar applies. Also, through distance learning, you may do the course at any age. However, the course may lose its significance, as the course was drafted for young students after their class 12th, but nevertheless there is a right to education for every citizen.
