What is the maximum backlog limit for applying in Canadian universities?
I want to pursue Masters in mechanical engineering in Canada. I have 5 backlogs.

There is no official consent over the number of backlogs. But, you should have least number of backlogs. Many colleges give admission with 7-8 backlogs but remember those students fail to get visas. Visa officers do not grant visa to students with more than one or two backlogs.

My IELTS Score is 7 and I completed my 9 backlogs before completion of my B.Tech, now there is no backlogs. Will they comes under backlogs or not? Am I eligible for Canadian universities for Masters?

The quantity of backlogs is not the subject of a formal agreement or rule. However, you should have the fewest possible backlogs. Many institutions admit students who have 5-8 backlogs, but those students often struggle to obtain visas. Students having more than one or two backlogs are not permitted
