The Staff Selection Commission mentions the exam pattern for each tier of SSC CGL exam separately in the official notification. SSC CGL Tier-I exam contains a total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The maximum marks awarded for SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is 200. Candidates need to complete the exam online mode for a duration of 60 minutes (one hour). There is a negative marking in the SSC CGL exam and the Commission deducts 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.
